Lucy Cuthew is the author of more than 30 books for children. Her debut novel Blood Moon (Walker Books), a YA verse novel, was nominated for the 2021 CILIP Carnegie Medal, shortlisted for the 2021 Wales Book of the Year Award Amazing Book Awards and selected as a USBBY Outstanding International Book.
Lucy is a lecturer on the MA in Writing for Young People at Bath Spa University and speaks regularly on the BBC about children’s literature.
Prize money in the Book for Children is 1st £750, 2nd £300, 3rd £200. Plus an opportunity to win a Local Prize of £100.
Entries to the Book for Children Competition should be aimed at readers between the ages of 7-16 years.
