Quirky quiz for bookworms

Brainy bookworms have the chance to test their literary know-how at the Festival’s fun quiz night at Cedars Hall.

Once again quirky quizmaster Gary Wigglesworth, author of The Book Lover’s Quiz Book, will host another lively evening of testing teasers.

The former bookseller began writing and hosting his own quizzes when he discovered that it was rare to find a quiz just about books. Now he has become a regular on the festival circuit and also runs a monthly book quiz in London.

To enter the Festival quiz, just organise your team of up to six – tickets cost £7 a head – and pit your wits against competing teams. There’s a prize for the winners.

Thai food stall Secret Recipe will be outside serving a choice of authentic Thai street food until 8pm, and there’s a pay bar in the foyer.

Wells Literary Quiz takes place at Cedars Hall on Sunday 19 October from 7.45pm to 9.45pm. Doors open at 7.15pm.
