Festival Success
Stimulating speakers and record ticket sales made the 2025 Festival the best year ever with several authors attracting capacity audiences.
Sell-outs included novelist Sebastian Faulks and health guru Tim Spector on the opening night, a literary lunch with gardener Carol Klein, and fascinating stories of Afghanistan by war correspondent Lyse Doucet on the final day.
Among other highlights were a quirky quiz night, a writers’ awards ceremony, and a visiting poet who tapped out poems on demand. Waterstones pop-up shop did a roaring trade.
Such a great year will allow the Festival to grow even bigger and better, and to continue its educational projects in local schools. Find out about the latest Education News here.
