2019 Festival: Updates to the Programme

Ticket sales for the forthcoming Festival are selling fast with Chris Patten’s First Confession now sold out and several other events looking set to reach sell-out point before long. The grand finale featuring Roger McGough and Little Machine already has limited tickets left, and the signs are Kate Humble will be in that position soon.

Jonathon Rugman - The Killing in the ConsulateWe also have some updates to report about our extremely popular ‘In Conversation with’ slots. On Saturday 19 October at 12.15pm Jane Glover will now be talking about Handel in London to Jessica Duchen. Jessica is a music critic and author whose work has appeared in many publications; she is also an accomplished librettist. Later that day Jonathan Rugman will be discussing The Killing in the Consulate with Alec Russell (editor of the FT’s Weekend magazine).

Peter Hennessy - Winds of Change: Britain in the SixtiesAnd if you thought you might have missed seeing the magnificent William Waldegrave in action as an interviewer, fear no more: his encounter with Peter Hennessy on Friday 25 October at 2 pm promises some fascinating insights into Britain in the Sixties.

Other In Conversation pieces this year include:
