Silver Anniversary and World Book Day

Plans are well under way for a bumper Festival this autumn to celebrate our Silver Anniversary. We are delighted to show off our new website in World Book Week, a week when our invaluable education projects get a prominent airing!

The Education Committee is proud to announce the events arranged for the week and funded by Wells Festival of Literature.

February 28th: Local children’s author, Joffre White visits Croscombe School to lead a creative writing day.

March 1st: Local author Steve Voake visits West Pennard School for sessions on creative writing and motivation … and Performance poet, Inja, visits Strode College for sessions with English and media students. Wells Festival of Literature is funding Inja’s overnight accommodation so that he can visit Fosse Way Special School on March 2nd.

March 3rd: Poet, Tony Walsh, visits Whitstone School in Shepton Mallet.
