2019 Festival: Change of Speaker

We are sorry to report that Kamal Ahmed, who was due to speak in Wells on Saturday 19 October at 7.30pm, has had to pull out of the Festival for personal reasons.

In his place we are delighted to have engaged Steve Richards the popular TV presenter and political columnist who regularly presents The Week in Westminster on BBC Radio 4 and has written for the Guardian, Independent, New Statesman and Spectator. Author of several well-received books, his latest is the highly topical The Prime Ministers: Reflections on Leadership from Wilson to May. Richards’ one-man show Rock‘n’Roll Politics has been described as ‘unmissable’ and his weekly podcast attracts large audiences. We look forward to welcoming him to Wells on Saturday 19 October at 7.30pm. Full details on this event are now available.
