Top marks for schoolwork
The Festival’s Education Team brings quite a buzz to book learning with its year-round projects in local schools.
These include numerous book donations to school libraries, funding Coram Beanstalk reading helpers in seven local schools, and even organising weekly poems on a postcard being sent to schools by poet A.F. Harrold.

This year the team is already funding an author in residence at St Ben’s Junior School in Glastonbury, along with underwriting the 2026 Schools Reading Challenge, organised by Whitstone School in Shepton for the National Year of Reading.
Head to the Education page to discover more exciting projects in local schools that are funded by the Festival thanks to ticket sales and the help of our sponsors.
