Journalist and Bowie superfan Peter Ormerod has written a new biography that delves into Bowie’s quest for spirituality, taking in his first musical encounters as a choirboy and tracing his spiritual obsessions down the years.

In David Bowie and the Search for Life, Death and God Ormerod shows how this quest for meaning propelled Bowie through his darkest moments and biggest successes, giving his music a depth that has spoken to people across the world.

Ormerod also has a lifelong fascination with religion as he was raised in a clergy family. He has written about culture and faith for The Guardian and is also an arts editor for National World.
