A new Normal

Comedian and poet Henry Normal is appearing at the Festival ahead of recording a new series for BBC Radio 4 where he has written and performed several shows in which he uses poetry, storytelling and comedy to explore life’s big questions.

Co-writer of the award-winning Mrs Merton Show and of the BAFTA-winning Paul and Pauline Calf Diaries, which he wrote with Steve Coogan, Normal also set up Baby Cow Productions Ltd in 1990.

Highlights from Baby Cow included Gavin and Stacey, Red Dwarf, The Mighty Boosh and the Oscar-nominated film Philomena.

His new show, A Normal Journey, will be recorded this autumn, and his latest book of Collected Poems is out now.
