This new edition of The Palestinians, written by Jonathan Dimbleby and with photographs by Don McCullin, is an update on the book that was first published in 1980.

Featuring photographs of the current devastation, the author argues that the issue of the Palestinian people and their quest for a homeland has assumed an even greater importance following the conflict in Gaza.

The book is about individuals – from doctors and lawyers to fighters and peasants. Through them he explores the crisis of a people without a land, demonstrating that the ‘Palestinian problem’ is not an abstract issue but an urgent human tragedy. Until this is recognised, he argues, there can be no just or lasting peace in the Middle East.

Jonathan Dimbleby is a renowned journalist, writer and filmmaker who spent many decades with the BBC and ITV. Don McCullin is an internationally-acclaimed photojournalist. All profits from the book will go to UNICEF.
