Our thanks go to the shortlist team, to Lucy Jago, our 2022 Short Story Judge and to all those entrants who made the competition so tough for the team. The winning entries can be downloaded and enjoyed from the above table.

Lucy Jago is an award-winning writer of fiction and non-fiction, and a former documentary producer for Channel 4 and the BBC. Her first book, The Northern Lights, won the National Biography prize and has been translated into eight languages; her YA novel, Montacute House, met with critical acclaim in the US and the UK. A Net for Small Fishes, (Bloomsbury 2021, Flatiron in the US) was released in paperback in April and the film rights have been sold. Lucy is now working on her next novel for Bloomsbury.  Lucy is a Fellow of the Royal Literary Fund and lives in Somerset.
